Muddy Waters. View from State Tower, Bangkok

Writer's picture: Warren FieldWarren Field

I found myself 200-odd metres up in the haze and humidity of the Bangkok skyline this week as a photographer for the Global Partnership for Education workshop supported by UNESCO.

The staggering view from Bangkok’s third highest building (247m) clearly shows the Chao Phraya River’s seasonal colour. In September, the fierce rain is a twice-daily occurrence and haunting memories of last year’s floods are revived.
