Here’s another couple of shots from Kanchanaburi, taken in the sweltering midday sun this weekend (October 21 2012).

The red skimmer (above), a common dragonfly of Thailand, has an incurable ‘return-to-base’ habit that makes photographing these complex-looking creatures easier if you observe their favourite perch. Approach sloth-like, set up in a similar vein and wait.
