Following on from a BA (Hons) in Design for Communication Media (Design for Learning) from Manchester Polytechnic I worked in an educational publisher for two years in Leeds, UK.

Emigrating to Australia in 1992 I took up new positions as a graphic designer in brand marketing before being appointed assistant art director at Australian Geographic Magazine in 1995.

​

Together with a passion for photography, Australian Geographic demanded premium print production skills, exhaustive fact-checking and illustrative commissioning allowing creatives to produce high-quality work in the ever-evolving world of publishing design.

 

I'm currently a consultant with UNESCO Bangkok and The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in Thailand where these skills are in demand for the production of academic reports, conference branding end event photography.
